I am fundraising for QE Charitable Funds which seeks to improve the experience of our patients, visitors and staff across the healthcare settings of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. As Chair of the Trust, I have witnessed the efforts of our staff to keep our patients safe during the covid pandemic, often taking them well outside of their comfort zones.  I am also aware of how difficult it has been for patients and families with restrictions to hospital visiting and anxiety about whether to seek medical advice. The funds raised by my run will go towards great initiatives to help both patients and staff across our Gateshead community.
