The Rose project promotes dignity and compassion for patients approaching the end of their lives in Watford Hospital. Specially trained volunteers will provide an extra level of care in patients' last hours and days of their lives.

Story

My Mum passed away in September this year and it is still a shock to our family, something we didn’t expect to happen. Watford General Hospital did a brilliant job in looking after my Mum up until her very last moments.  They showed kindness and compassion and that’s something we appreciate very much. Due to covid -19 we weren’t allowed to be with my Mum in her final hours, and for all the other families going through this I find it important that their loved ones have someone to hold their hand until the end.
