The number of people killed as a result of domestic violence is at a five-year high 173 people were killed in domestic violence-related homicides last year, an increase of 32 on 2017. As you will know my sister Tracy was one of those women to say it has changed our lives is a understatement not a single day goes by that I don’t think about her everyday I miss the little things that she did the silly texts that we exchanged, when she would text me what are you doing and I would reply texting you back she would reply you div 😂I miss the Suport she gave me the Christmas times we all spent together most of all I miss her being there to talk to, I always pictured all us girls growing old together we joked that she would be pushing me in a wheel chair going for our lunch having our food mashed up because we wouldn’t be able to chew solids all the banter that we had it’s all gone now because off one mans selfish act that has changed all our lives, I am so proud of the youngsters in the family that have become stronger and have shown me that despite what that man has done he will not break our family. We are more fortunate than others as we have each other but other women and children don’t have what we have so that’s why it is important to us to raise awareness and money for Birmingham and Solihull women’s Aid and help those that are living in fear of waking up one day and thinking could this be their last day on this earth. The children that don’t know any different and think this must be what normal life is like well it’s not normal and we need to change this cycle and help these families to lead a normal life.
