Loch Lomond Wee Beastie Triathalon · 30 July 2022

Story

So not entirely sure this is one of my better ideas but I, along with my three friends Rachel, Connie and Liana, have entered our first triathlon. On July 30th we’ll be swimming in Loch Lomond then off road cycling and running. We are raising money for two causes; the JMA trust in partnership with the Beatson Cancer Charity. The JMA Trust is very close to all of us and they continue to support so many vulnerable individuals, families and groups across Scotland. As many of you already know, I was diagnosed with cancer in March 2020 and am still currently undergoing cancer treatment. A year ago I was told that my cancer was incurable and I would have 12 months left. However, 12 months later, thanks to my immunotherapy treatment at the Beatson, I am glad to be proving them wrong and doing a triathlon.  I have seen first hand the amazing work the Beaston does and, after two years, I have pretty much taken them for all they’re worth and I’d love to give back. Please click on the link to our Justgiving page if you could spare anything at all. We would be very grateful!
