Story

Being fit and healthy is something we all take for granted until you are hit with a cruel and debilitating disease like Motor Neurone Disease, which is simply devastating.

One of my friends, Debbie Hayhurst, was diagnosed with MND in September 2021 and, as a result of this horrible disease, has no movement in her torso, legs and arms and is on 24 hour breathing support. She is completely reliant on her husband, her family and friends.

In 2018, we lost a close family friend, Alan Smith to Motor Neurone Disease. The MNDA were amazing in their care for Alan and support for his wife, Pearl.

The MNDA provide support to families like Debbie and Alan and are at the forefront of scientific research that aims to find a cure for this horrific disease.

On 1st April I will be taking part in the Easter 50 challenge for MNDA where I will be walking 50km (31 miles) to raise funds for this amazing charity.

Please join me in showing your support for the great work that the MNDA do by sponsoring me to complete this challenge. All donations would be greatly appreciated.
