Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
We are taking part in the Great Manchester Cycle on the 30th June to raise money for Cancer Research. The ride takes place on a 13 miles city based circuit within Manchester and Trafford. It starts and finishes at the Etihad Stadium and we have signed up to do two laps. We aim to complete the 26 miles as quickly as possible.
Every 2 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by the public so please donate whatever you can to help them in their efforts to find a cure for all cancers.
My Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2001 and thanks to research and work in this area, it was found early and he responded very well to treatment. Even though trying to find a cure is the ultimate goal, trying to find better methods for early diagnosis is also vitally important, and in the case of my Dad, it was a massive factor in his treatment and recovery.
