Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will already know my lovely mum died in November last year. She'd had Parkinson's for 17 years and in the end it just got too much and she'd had enough.
I'm undertaking a cycle ride to raise money for Parkinsons UK, a charity that does so much to help those suffering with this dreadful illness. I'm planning to cycle 102 miles from the village of Neville Holt in Rutland to the lovely Norfolk seaside town of Brancaster on May 5th. It's not like I'm climbing a huge mountain, or risking life and limb, but those of you that know me will appreciate such a journey amounts to a significant challenge to a fat boy like me.
I appreciate that you may give lots of money to charities of your choice as it is and may not feel like parting with any more of your hard earned cash but as an added incentive I'm happy to send you a photo of me at the finish line in a state of physical and mental exhaustion, probably blubbing like a small child who's just had his sweets stolen by a big fat bully.
If you are feeling generous, please visit my justgiving page and pledge what you can.
Thanks
Al.
