Welcome to my Fundraising page!
Thank you very much for taking the time to log on. I am Fundraising for the charity Endometriosis UK by participating in the 'Three Peaks Challenge' between August 21st - 23rd - http://www.acrossthedivide.com/openEvents/British_3_peaks_charity_challenge.asp (scaling the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales!!!)
As most of you will know, I have never participated in a charity event and have decided to so for the lovely lady standing next to me in the photo - Carol, who is an Endometriosis sufferer.
I have been working with Carol for just over a year now and can honestly say that I have never met someone so determined, positive and self less faced with such physical pain and emotional trauma - Carol awaits her 7th operation in 6 years.
Endometriosis is a disease which most people have never heard of but which affects up to 1 in 20 women in some parts of the world. Worst of all, it often goes undetected for years and affects some the most private areas of a woman's body. The things we take for granted - such as motherhood - are not always possible for those who have Endo.
I would therefore greatly appreciate if you would help me reach my Fundraising target by sponsoring me! I am aware that times are dire for everyone, however even a small contribution will go a long way!!
Lastly, but not least, we will be climbing the mountains wearing bright pink pants over our trousers, so I will have great pictures to show you all in August (if we make it back in one piece that is !!)
