Story
On 18 September 2011 my friends worst fears were realised when their little boy Charlie lost his battle with Neuroblastoma aged just 6(attached is Gazette article). As a fundraising exercise for the 6 chosen charities that helped Charlie through his battle (and in some circumstances have continued to help the family deal with the loss of this special little boy) I have volunteered myself to take on the 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours. For those of you who don’t already know this means climbing the 3 biggest peaks in the UK. Starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland before attempting Scafell Pike in England finishing with Snowdon in Wales, all within a 24 hour period.
RUNNERS: PAUL ALKER, RICK EAVES, STEVE TOWNLEY & DANE HITCHON.
The fundraising culminates with a black tie dinner at the Hilton, Blackpool scheduled for Saturday 15 September 2012 being the one year anniversary, with special guest and music from Dead Beats. Should you require a ticket or indeed a table please do not hesitate to let me know.
Please do not feel obliged to donate, although obviously myself and the Stansfield family would be hugely grateful for any contributions made.
