All Saints Church Defibrillator Fundraising Campaign

All Saints Church, Leek is partnering with AEDdonate to raise funds for an external, publicly accessible defibrillator to be installed at the church.

This life-saving device will be available to the whole community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

Why a Defibrillator at All Saints Church is So Important

Every year in the UK, more than 30,000 people suffer an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest. Tragically, hundreds are young people and children.

When a cardiac arrest happens, every minute without treatment reduces survival chances by around 10%. However, if a defibrillator is used within the first 3 minutes, survival rates can increase to over 80%.

Installing an external defibrillator at All Saints Church could mean immediate access to life-saving treatment for anyone in the surrounding area whether attending services, community events, or simply living nearby.

How a Defibrillator Will Help the community 

Once installed, the defibrillator will be registered with the local ambulance trust and available for school-site use during term time between the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.

This doesn’t replace emergency services. Instead, it provides immediate, potentially life-saving intervention while the ambulance is enroute. The quicker the shock is delivered, the greater the chance of survival.
