Story
In June 2020 my Dad was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer, a terrible diagnosis for him as it prevented him being able to eat properly, which he loved doing. During his illness and subsequent treatment, Macmillan Cancer Support did everything to support him. They were helpful in giving him the information he needed to get by day to day. They were there all the way up until he died in May 2021. They were also there for the whole family after he died with offering free bereavement counselling for the entire family and conversations that were necessary at the time to help us all cope. I am very happy to be running this marathon for them. Everything that you donate to me here will go directly to them to help look after more like my Dad going forward.
