Story

After the success of last years event, we are going again! Along with all of Dad’s family and friends we are running the Great Manchester 10k.

As well, Joel will be running the Manchester marathon in April!!!!!

Friends from HMG Paints (one of dads most valued customers) were running with dad that day in 2019, after waiting throughout the pandemic are glad to be able to finally raise some money in dads memory by doing the run. We are delighted they will be joining this year!

As most are aware our Dad Alan Doyle lost his life whilst running during the Great Manchester Run 2019. This took place near our beloved Old Trafford where he has been a season ticket holder over 34 years. His death was ultimately caused by an undiscovered heart disease.

Dad loved life, dancing, his family, going out with friends, making people laugh. Any room he walked into he would light it up. And always has been everyone’s best mate. We are still in massive shock to loose such an amazing man and not a day passes by where we aren‘t talking about him and his mischievous ways.

Keep an eye out for us at the Manchester Run where we will be completing the race in honour of our Dad and keeping his memory alive. We will be wearing yellow just as he was and raising money for and creating awareness of Heart Disease.

Any donation is very much appreciated.

The British Heart Foundation

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help.
