Tower Abseil: All Saints Church, Dunton Bassett

Tower Abseil: All Saints Church, Dunton Bassett · 30 September 2017
All Saints Church has been a key part of the community in Dunton Bassett for centuries, with historic links to the school, Scouts and other important parts of village life.
Aside from the scheduled Sunday services, many current and former residents of Dunton Bassett will have attended the weddings, christenings and funerals that All Saints Church has hosted over the years. More recently, the Scarecrow Festival and Teddy Bear Drop have captured the imaginations of those in Dunton and nearby villages.
Now the church needs your help. The latest theft of lead from the church roof has caused significant damage, so funds are now required to repair the roof and invest in a secure alarm system. I think the total needed is about £8000 but let's start with £1000
On 30th September 2017 several brave adventurers will enjoy a bird's eye view of the village as they abseil from the top of the church tower to raise money for this project. Traditional sponsorship forms are doing the rounds but many find JustGiving an easier way to raise money.
