Hello!

Ok, so I’m running around in a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very big circle on the 11th Oct - The 2009 Munich Marathon!  Ive never ran before last year when I trained for the Munich 10k, and never thought id be capable of running a marathon, but now ive passed the hardest part of my training plan, so I’m committed!  Its going to be one of the hardest things ive ever done (ive never really been a runner and until recently I would have to take a month off work after jogging to the shops), and my longest training run of 30k nearly killed me (!), but if you give a little bit of your hard earned cash to the cause then it would help me get around!

Cancer doesn’t need any introduction.  I’m sure that pretty much everyone who I have emailed asking for money will know someone close to them who has been through a cancer of some sort.  Ive been lucky, but I’m sure you know that people close to me haven’t been so lucky (and conversely, have, as they are still here), but the survival rates for lots of different types of cancer get better because of ongoing research, and the dream of a final cure could actually happen one day, which would be pretty damn cool :)

So there you go.  Please give money to this cause :)  (and please pray for me and come and throw sponges and bananas at me on the 11th!!)
