I began my journey with Everybody Wins! Vermont in 2011 when I became a reading mentor.  In 2021 I joined their Board of Directors.  Watching your student grow confident in reading and speaking directly speaks to the power of this program.  

My first reader was a young man who had been eligible for speech therapy.  Over time he no longer qualified for the speech therapist.  He enrolled in EW!VT and by the time his 3-year program ended he was reading ahead of top readers in his class.  

I entered his world at a time when he could have jumped ahead or fallen behind.  Each of my readers have had their own interesting and unique story.
