2014 has been a difficult year.  In the name of alopecia generally I've taken myself outside of my comfort zone again and again and again and been pushed further than I thought I could ever go.  I get the feeling that it's nowhere near over! This page is basically for those of you that know what I've done for a certain project and how much I have put in to it.  I've worked extremely hard on top of what I was already having to do in my role as Charity Manager for Alopecia UK.  Has it been worth it?

This page was originally set up for the London 10k I ran earlier this year but due to the project mentioned above I didn't have time to get sponsors so I've changed it.

Alopecia UK is a tiny charity, but alopecia is a massive condition estimated to affect over a million people in the UK.  The more awareness we do the more people come to the charity for support and the more pressure is put on the tiny resource that is available.  Alopecia UK desperately needs to grow.  So many people give up so much in order to keep Alopecia UK going and give people affected by alopecia the support and services that they need and deserve.  But there is only so far we can go before we burn out.  The charity needs to not only keep going but grow and develop too.
