Every 15 minutes, someone in the UK starts to lose their sight.My Eye to Eye is Moorfields Eye Charity's flagship fundraising event where participants walk, run or ride 15 miles for Moorfields and its academic partner, the Institute of Ophthalmology. There is also a more accessible five mile option. Already, over 2 million people across the country live with impaired vision - with that number set to double over the next 30 years. Which makes fundraising events such as My Eye to Eye so important. Our researchers, staff and patients need you to help save peoples sight. Moorfields Eye Charity has been a great support for my family since my three sisters (Abbi, Amy and Jessie) were diagnosed with a genetic condition called Stargardt's Disease. Stargardt's causes central vision loss and, at the moment, there is no treatment for this condition. We're raising money for Moorfields to help support other families like ours and to fund research for potential treatments in the future.
