🚴♂️ Race the Sun – Lake District Challenge
In support of Action Medical Research for Children
At Altro, social value is at the heart of what we do — especially in healthcare, one of our biggest sectors. That’s why we’re proud to take on Race the Sun – Lake District, a tough physical challenge in aid of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to helping sick and disabled babies, children and young people.
Two teams have come together for this incredible cause, made up of our colleagues and valued partners:
• Yara and Paul from Altro
• Euan Granger, Nick Kavanagh, Martin Edwards – Morgan Sindall
• Tom Basten and Jerry Coll – Russell WBHO Construction
• Andrew Rogers – JM Architects
Together, we’ll be:
🚴 Cycling 34 miles around the hilly Lake District
🥾 Hiking 10.5 miles up and down Skiddaw
🛶 Kayaking 2 miles across a lake — all between sunrise and sunset!
We’re taking on this epic challenge to help Action Medical Research fund life-saving research to:
• Prevent premature birth
• Support children living with disabilities
• Develop treatments for rare and incurable conditions
💙 We need your help to reach our £4,000 fundraising goal.
Every pound brings us closer to breakthroughs that could change a child’s life. If you can, please donate — your support truly means the world to us.
Thank you for being part of something meaningful. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on our journey and the difference you’ve helped make.
