In February this year, my niece Cadi's partner Bob took his own life. Bob had an ambition to cycle the Coast 2 Coast route in one day in 2014 as part of his upcoming 60th birthday celebrations. Sadly Bob passed away before he could achieve this goal.

O 9th August I will be joining Cadi and some other intrepid cyclists to remember Bob and (hopefully) to fulfil his ambition. We'll be aiming to cycle around 130 miles in one day, from Whitehaven to South Shields, across some not-very-flat countryside.

We are aiming to raise money for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust by taking on Bob's Coast 2 Coast in a Day Challenge. We hope that by doing this we can not only honour Bob's memory but also educate others to prevent more deaths occurring.

We will be cycling across the country on the 9th August and would value any support you can give us.
