Lochaber Mountain Rescue team is Scotland's busiest team, often carrying out more than 150 rescues a year. Run entirely by volunteers we rely on your generous donations to allow us to help those in need.

Story

The Nevis River Race is an extreme challenge - riding a lilo down the Gurgling Gorge, through Dead Dog Pool, past the Leg Breaker and over Lower Falls Leap - two miles of chilly water and rock-dodging.  The organisers like to calm your nerves, though; they say "The intrepid adventurers begin by launching themselves off a small ledge on a rock face, plunging into the freezing waters of the River Nevis below."

I’m a bit nervous but mountain rescue volunteers risk their lives to keep people safe on our hills, so a wee dip in cold water isn’t too much for me to do to help support them just a little.  No Fuss Events (the organisers) will make sure we all come out the other end, I hope!

I’ll do the chilly and wet stuff, and I hope you’ll do the charitable stuff.  Please dig deep and donate now.

Yours,

Alyn
