Story
I'm taking on ARUK Virtual Explorer because now, more than ever, dementia research needs our support and I'm passionate to help fund groundbreaking research and #MakeBreakthroughsPossible
For World Alzheimer’s Month, I have joined arukexplorer.org and pledged to walk/run/trek a total of 83 miles between 1st September and 31st October. I am raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK - the UK’s leading Alzheimer’s research charity (registered charity numbers 1077089 and SC042474). They contribute towards pioneering research that aims to find a cure for dementia. Over the last year, they have made over 200 discoveries and invested in research networks linking more than 2,000 dementia scientists at 15 different centres across the UK.
