Hope Mountain Hike 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·
Whilst my dad was being diagnosed with MND The Walton Centre looked after him, also once diagnosed he had regular appointments here. The staff were very supportive, i’d Like to give back a little something to show my appreciation. Also i’m doing this walk to support my friend Gayle who’s husband has been in The Walton Center. Mark was taken poorly in January 2018, The Walton Centre looked after Mark during this time and they provided a safe place for Gayle to stay during this upsetting time, hopefully I can raise some money to go back into this wonderful hospital. The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field. Over 100,000 patients are treated at the hospital each year with conditions ranging from head and spinal trauma injuries; brain and spine tumours; Epilipsy, MS, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson. The Charity funds a variety of projects in the hospital including research, innovation, new technology and patient & family facilities.
