My incredible sister Rachel Harris set up and runs Elephant Human Relations Aid in Namibia to work with the local communities to live peacefully with elephants.  

Last week, while we were experiencing the storm, my sister's beautiful volunteer camp in the desert valley and brand new education centre for the local community were destroyed by unprecedented floods. 

They urgently need £40,000 to rebuild these essential buildings so they can continue to work with volunteers who travel all over the world to work with EHRA to build wells for elephants, the farmers and patrol to ensure the elephants are protected.  The new community centre has been years in the making and provides a vital space to support local communities to better understand elephants so they can live in harmony. 

I haven't managed to run since I had Covid at Christmas - but it feels like I need to dig deep and run the Brighton half marathon this weekend - even if I am plodding - to help Rachel raise money for EHRA.
