I was inspired to create this page and to do this 32.5 mile sponsored walk from skipton to shipley and back ( along the canal ) after a local christmas fare i attended. The fare was to raise money for 'Jacks Journey' & Brain Tumour Reasearch...

At this event i was absolutely bowled over and inspired by the amazing ppl who had organised and worked so tirelessly to create the event and raise money for such a fantastic cause ..... most of all though i was inspired by an AMAZING little boy called Jack ....

This is Jacks Story .....

Jack Lambert is 4 years old. He loves tractors, motorbikes and playing farms with his big brother, James (6).

He is normal in every other way, except he has cancer.

In June 2010, when just 20 months old, Jack was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour. He endured 6 months of successful chemotherapy followed by stem cell therapy. Jack went on to have 18 months of being cancer free and his mum and dad, Jen and Rob, started to re-build their lives and bring back normality to the family unit.

Sadly in June 2012 Jack was diagnosed with secondry cancer and has now completed a further course of treatment, including intense radiotherapy.

Btrs (brain tumour research and support) have been a huge support to the family and Jen, Rob, James and Jack are devoted to raising money for vital research and raising awareness of the disease, which will hopefully make a differance to other families, like theirs, who live this nightmare.
