Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

I've decided to try and make my hospital stay worthwhile for other people and have a bit of fun doing so! As its Christmas and I havent dressed up since Halloween, I will wear my all-in-one reindeer outfit, everyday next week in hospital and for all my appointments!!

Please sponsor me to do this to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust who are desperately trying to get the funds to carry on with the next stage of their gene therapy research. If the money isn't raised, the next stage will be postponed, delaying vital research that could help improve the lives of so many people with CF.

I also want to raise awareness for organ donation. Nearly everyone would take an organ if they needed one, but only 29% of us have actually joined the Organ Donor Register. You organs aren't much good to you after you've died, but they could help save someone's life. More than 10,000 people in the UK currently need a transplant. Of these 1000 each year - that's three a day - will die waiting as there are not enough organs available. Joining the register is so simple, just go to www.organdonation.nhs.uk and sign up.

I will post photos of me in my reindeer outfit throughout the week!
