A year ago we gave birth to a beautiful little man, Benjamin.  In the first 48 hours of his life he experienced 2 hospitals, an ambulance ride, 3 intensive care units, 8 beds, an operation, a blood transfusion and a team of absolute NHS heroes.

There were a number of voluntary organisations that were there for us during this confusing and emotional first 48 hours, and then the 2 month period that Benjamin remained in hospital. 

In celebration of his first birthday we want to give something back and so are raising money in his name for his continued journey towards full recovery and outpatient discharge from hospital.
