Teenage Cancer Trust London to Paris Cycle 2018 · 25 July 2018 to 29 July 2018 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Our group has made a donation to cover the cost of our trip so please be assured that any donation you make will go to TCT.

Our daughter Hannah was diagnosed with cancer in January 2016, aged 17. She was studying for A levels and enjoying life. She spent the next 12 months receiving gruelling and intensive treatment including chemotherapy and proton radiotherapy. Thankfully it worked. She has been clear for over 18 months, is fit and well and loving life studying languages at Nottingham University.

Our terrible year was made so much more bearable by the wonderful people of the TCT. Hannah was treated in the dedicated area in the Bristol Royal Infirmary for much of her time. It is a ward designed to put young people at ease, to help keep them positive and carry on with life as normally as possible. They have a great team who care for them and their families, help them to continue with their studies and encourage them to interact with each other.

Currently the TCT only reaches half of the young people with cancer. We want to help them reach many more. Tim, Jenny and Jane are cycling with us. Please sponsor us - every penny donated will go to the TCT.
The 330 mile bike ride will be tough for all of us but nothing compared with the ordeal that so many teenagers go through.

Thank you.
