Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page.

In a couple of weeks I turn 50 and frankly all my material needs are met. I live a very comfortable life. I don't want for food or clothes or little luxuries. I am lucky.

Before Christmas, I met the children that The Shiva Trust help on a weekly basis. These children live on the margins of society. They are very much in need and to be honest just thinking about their daily plights and the poverty they live in, saddens my heart greatly.

I thought I would like to share my 50th with them. If any of you were pondering buying me a 50th present, I am asking instead will you please donate to my Just Giving Page and give a child whose needs are far greater than mine some hope and kindness instead.

I know this may reach some people who wouldn't buy me a gift but from someone who has seen their genuine hardship, I am asking from the bottom of my heart will you please give to these dear little ones  and share a notional birthday present with them.

Please share widely. 

The Shiva Trust help these children week in week out so every little extra help matters.
