I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in May 2009 (see below for the official blurb on that!)  and whilst the condition itself has been challenging and, in quite a few ways, life changing I have always  been quite lucky. I had a.good GP, have been able to access support that led me to be able to manage my condition and have a life and have had wonderful support form family and friends. 

Many others don't have that support and information and that is why I always try and do what I can to support FIbromyalgia action UK so that those who are trying to get that diagnosis, are newly diagnosed or are a friend/family member of someone who is have access to information, support and  hope. 

I'm not the best with heights so this is getting out of my comfort zone....although with fibro you're never really comfortable anyway so....

Fibromyalgia is a recognised chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. A common illness with an est. prevalence of 2.9% - 4.7%. The pain tends to be felt as diffuse aching or burning, often described as head to toe. It may be worse at some times than at others and may also change location, usually becoming more severe in parts of the body that are used most. Add. symptoms often include: unrefreshing sleep, headaches, irritable bowel, cognitive disturbances, clumsiness, dizziness, allergies, sensitivity to environmental changes.
