Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

On the 22nd of November, 2 days before her 26th Birthday, my beautiful friend Julie was taken from us way too soon. She lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis after putting up such a huge and brave fight!

Julie had several friends who also suffer from CF, and I know that Julie would want us to do everything in our power to help them. So I have decided to raise much needed funds and awareness for CF and Organ Donation.

In order to do this, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon on 29th May 2013. I will be running 40k and thinking of Julie and all the other Angels that have lost their battle or that are still fighting their battle, every step of the way. Anyone who knows me will know that this is a huge challenge for me. I am not a strong runner and the most I have ever run before is 5k. So please, dig deep folks and help support me and CF in this challenge.
