Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

Child Rescue Nepal frees children from slavery. We rescue children, keep them safe and reunite them with their families. Child Rescue Nepal has rescued over 1,000 children but our work is far from over. We want to end child slavery in Nepal and we won’t stop until every child is free.

Story

I received some fantasitc presents last year for my 40th birthday, from a  Kindle to a week in Morocco but  this just has to be the most unusual.   A place in the London Marathon has to  be the most time consuming, physically demanding and probably the most challenging yet rewarding present of them all.  The training can be challenging at the moment here in Somerset with floods to wade through and land slides and icy roads to avoid but what a great way to increase a birthday gift ten fold.

I am delighted to be running for the Esther Benjamin Trust in order to  help rescue Nepali children from lives of abuse and neglect and help put them on the road to recovery.  So please dig deep and help me raise money for this small charity who are doing big things in Nepal, by sponsoring me now.

A bottle of wine for my next birthday would just be perfect Shirley!
