Running Miles for Karen
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Throughout the duration of 2015 I am running 100 miles of half marathons and 10k running events in memory of our friend Karen Miles and in doing so I shall be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Karen very sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2013, she was just 49 - she was beautiful outside and in.
In addition, later this year I will be turning 40 and I have set this personal challenge to mark this occasion and do something worthy, memorable and to teach my two boys about raising money for charity.
With limited previous running experience, those of you who have followed my 'illustrious' running career will remember with fondness (?) my 10k Hove seafront superhero run dressed as Dangermouse and my 'speedy' completion of the Brighton Marathon in sub 6 hours where I do believe I was pipped to the post by the bloke carrying the stuffed full size Siberian tiger on his back. Ahh yes, it's safe to say Sally Gunnell has nothing on me!
I will be booking my running events as the year progresses come rain or shine and will be running in locations up and down the country which have a meaning or hold a memory for me.
Running programme so far......

Obviously this isn't going to come easy to me, it takes an immense amount of time to train for any running event and I am embarking on potentially running 100 miles worth of events. I can't begin to tell you what your support would mean - both physical (carrying me to the pub after a race) and financial (buying me a bloody big drink).......JOKE!!!
Thanks in advance
