Thank you for visiting my August Yoga Challenge fundraising page in support of the UK Sepsis Trust.

This challenge has come to me at a time when memories of a dear friend's husband losing his life far too young are still fresh. At the same time, I am working with an amazing client who came to me in January. In Paul's own words, "July 2023 I walked into hospital unaided to have a routine 10 minute procedure. Just a few days later I collapsed and then found myself in intensive care, having contracted life threatening acute urosepsis, almost certainly at the hospital procedure. I was discharged a couple of weeks later, barely able to walk due to neuropathy caused by the infection.

The NHS provided little to no support in post-discharge recovery for me. After 6 months of frustrating inaction from them and at a very low ebb, unable to foresee a time when I would be able to walk again, I found and reached out to Amanda to see if Pilates sessions could help me regain the ability to walk."

Just last week, Paul (his wife and myself also) was thrilled to walk a short distance unaided for the first time in over a year. We have wonderful video evidence of this happy smiley day as he walked across the Pilates studio deck. Paul is working hard and is still making further progress.
