2024 October Walking Challenge · 1 October 2024 ·

This October, our wonderful supporters are walking 100km across the month to raise funds for research into treatments that could slow, stop or reverse Parkinson's.

Story

This October I will be attempting to walk 100km to raise funds for Cure Parkinson's, a charity that funds research into a cure for the condition.

I have a vested interest, as many of you know. I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's in 2011, 13 years ago. I take rather a lot of drugs just to keep going, and they mostly work. Most of the time. But none of them will stop Parkinson's in its tracks, so I'm asking for a little help for the people who are trying to do just that and more: Cure Parkinson's.

I am still walking and I fully intend to complete 100km during October, and make a little sketch for each significant outing. How many miles is that? Hmm. Just over 62 miles. I can do that!

Wish me, and the other walkers, luck! Thank you for your donations.
