Amanda Davie is raising money for Duchenne UK

Dundee Kiltwalk 2026 · 16 August 2026 ·

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.

Story

I'm taking on the Kiltwalk to raise money for Duchenne UK, a charity that is very close to my heart.

My friend's son is living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a devastating muscle-wasting condition that affects thousands of children and young people. Seeing the challenges he and his family face, alongside the incredible strength and resilience they show every day, has inspired me to do something to help.

Duchenne UK is working tirelessly to fund vital research, improve access to treatments, and support families affected by this condition. Every step I take during the Kiltwalk is for those living with Duchenne and for the hope of a brighter future.

Any donation, big or small, would mean so much and will help make a real difference.

Thank you for your support.
