Story

We have been given an amazing opportunity to run the London Marathon this year.

We have chosen to run for Breast Cancer as one of our closest friends Zoe was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer, she is 38 years old.  She underwent a lumpectomy and excision of the lymph nodes followed by lengthy cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She still has many hurdles to over come, with life changing decisions to make, however she really is one of life’s amazing people who oozes positivity and bravery, she is truly inspirational.

Another one of our dear friends Anna recently received the same diagnosis and had to deal with a double mastectomy while bringing up her young son. She was diagnosed at 29 and has now been told that having more children is unlikely.

We all know people who have lost their fight to cancer, at the beginning of the year our good friend Rob lost his father to this terrible disease.  James lost his father to cancer almost three years ago. We will be running this race also in memory of them.

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Around 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Britain each year. Of these around 400 are men. Please help today because tomorrow you might just be the one who needs help tomorrow.

We are going to need as much support as possible. Please sponsor us and if you are free to come and support us on the day we would love to see some friendly faces. It's also James' birthday.

Every penny really does help. Please give so that others can live.

Thank you in advance, we will do you proud.

Team Rodea xx
