Story
Thank you for visiting my Justgiving Page. This September I am going to be taking part in Cancer Research's Shine Night Walk 2015.
It's more than 2 and a half years since Chris died and I thought it was time to start to raise money to help fund research into the treatment of brain tumours. The treatment that Chris had wouldn't have been available without the research work of so many people, and the work continues.
I was trying to think what to do and whilst I can't run (dodgy ankles....) I can walk and so am going to do this walking marathon, yes that's 26 miles, I'm not even going to think how long it's going to take me!
Each year in the UK, over 9,400 people, including around 400 children, are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. But they can be hard to treat and around 5,000 people in the UK lose their lives to the disease every year. This is why Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work must continue.
I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me. Every pound you donate will help fund the life-saving work of Cancer Research UK.
