Shirley Seabury, Linda Ferrier, Dawn Sharp, Marjory Thrusfield, Penny Rother, Gillian Dickson and Dawn Westwood are all heading for Peru on September 16th to be part of the Medical Team on board Amazon Hope 2. Thanks to the incredible generosity many people we have already raised more than we ever could have imagined - but the work of the Vine Trust continues 365 days per year and any donations are very gratefully received for all aspects of their work.

Many of the remote communities on the banks of the River Amazon have little or no access to healthcare provision due to geography and poverty. Medical ships run by the Vine Trust are crucial in beginning to deliver Primary Health Care in these places which are inaccessible by road. A street boy programme is giving hope and education to abandoned children. Micro enterprise initiatives in Peru such as a bakery are helping to sustain the programme but  external funding still remains vital.
