Story
Children should not have their childhood stolen by cancer. Every day more than 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. 1,800 new cases are diagnosed every year in the UK (in children aged 0-14 years). Around 240 children in the UK, aged 0-14 years, lose their lives to cancer every year.
I am running to raise money for Children with Cancer UK because not only do they raise money to research to improve the diagnosis, treatment and long-term care of children with cancer, but they help support families and children with their fight.
Your money will help keep families together. Children with Cancer fight to keep families together by providing financial hardship grants, free accommodation for families to stay in near to children’s hospitals across the country and support programmes such as Beads of Courage UK. They also organise fun, free days out for families throughout the year so that they can spend quality time together and make lasting memories outside of the hospital environment.
For every £1 you give, Children with Cancer give 7 more.
So please, dig in your pockets, no matter how little you can give. Together, we can help children survive and ring they bell
