Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving!!!
Thurs 10 Dec --- I have now uploaded the photos that Clint took. Got a CD from PRCF of other photos I'll update this weekend.
Ho Ho Ho!!!!
After the race ---
I just wanted to thank you all for donating to my page. I am trying to compile all of the photos and videos from the run and will have them uploaded soon.... Amber 8Dec09
Saturday 5 Dec --- Some people would be digging into a last chance work out. My work out today consisted of 8 hours volunteering for the Junior League of London's Holiday Hamper Assembly Day. About 600 hampers filled with canned food, pasta and gifts for the many charites we work with. It's quite a workout!!! Carbing up tonight with some homemade pasta: squid ink pasta al dente, shrimp/mushroom and bell pepper in white wine sauce. Yummy! I check in at 9:30 in the morning for my Santa Suit! Time to go charge the camera.....
Friday 4 Dec -- Our 5th Wedding anniversary.... some spicy thai food to get the body enzymes pumping!!
Wednesday 2 Dec -- A great treadmill session this morning at the ripe time of 6am! While I always feel like a hamster on a wheel, it beats getting all wet and freezing to death!! Bring on Sunday! I know the suit will keep me warm.
Tuesday 1 Dec -- Ho Ho Ho! It's December!!! I am completely shocked that I have already reached my target! Fantastic!!! Maybe I can go to 200%? Training has begun --- some yoga and deep stretching tonight to get the body prepped for tomorrow's morning treadmill session. Thank you all so very much!
Monday 30 Nov -- We are in the week of the race. Thank you to all who have donated so far! I'm so happy to be close to my goal!! The cold is being kicked as we speak, so I'll be back into training and ready for Sunday by tomorrow night! I got my race pack in the post today -- I am number 5530. Whoo hoo!!!
Thursday 26 Nov -- Today is Thanksgiving. I am thankful for everyone, my family, and especially my dad and step dad. I learned today when calling back home that my step dad's PSA numbers are back in the zeros! That means his treatment worked and the cancer is gone! That's fantastic! So Dad is still doing well, Step dad is clear... now holding on for Clint's Uncle! Please remember to sponsor me. Family --- instead of sending us presents, please donate!! We are celebrating Thansgiving with a feast on Saturday with some other American friends. I am currently popping lots of Actifed in order to beat the cold that has come on in the last few days! More to come....
As I competed in 2 triathlons this summer for PRCF, I am now keeping fit in the "off-season" by doing various activities. PRCF have asked me to run for them in the 5k Santa Run --- I couldn't say no! A great cause, exercise, and A SANTA SUIT!!!! I'm so excited.
I only have 2 weeks to fundraise.. so please dig down deep!!!!! The race is Sunday 5 December
