Me and some of my friends; Lucy Brooks, Sasha Booth, Dionne Summers and Phoebe Small are taking on the Yorkshire three peaks challenge. The challenge consists of a 24-mile hike (38.6km) across the Yorkshire Dales on 27/10/2020. We will be hiking for around 12 hours across:

Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres)

Whernside (736 metres)

Ingleborough (723 metres)

We are by no means walkers and have never done a challenge like this before but we are all eager to help raise money for such an incredible charity. 

In 2019, I was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and septicaemia. If it wasn’t for my mum being aware of the symptoms in time and the medical staff who looked after me, my outcome could have been very different. 

Many people; especially children, don’t get as lucky as I did. The consequences of this illness can be life changing for both sufferers and their families. This is why we want to raise money for  this charity and why we feel so passionate about the incredible work they do.
