Art in Healthcare · 29 January 2013

We are a charity working across Scotland to improve health and wellbeing for individuals and communities by providing opportunities to experience and engage with high quality visual art, artists and creativity. We loan artwork from our collection, and run a programme of projects and workshops.

Story

Lots of you will remember the Birthday Fish and dutifully sending me a beautiful/quirky/semi-made fish/fish-like creature/object; a few of you will also remember how you did it.. Some of you won't have a clue what I'm talking about.. Well, I'm asking that you might all send me an/another origami fish made out of bank notes (preferrably GBP of any denomination), to help raise money for Art in Healthcare (AiH). The charity where I now work, AiH hang artworks around a wide number of healthcare settings, such as hospices and hospitals, to 'brighten up' the environment for patients/staff/visitors and judging by my own recent experiences, they do just that. In return, I'm going to climb down a rope off the Forth Rail Bridge, potentially dressed in something amusing (open to suggestions). Oh and if you can work out how I can get origami-making into the abseiling equation then let me know! So, have a go at the banknote origami fish and send to AiH (see website) and if you get stuck/fear putting money in the post then feel free to use the JustGiving page..
