My story Christmas 2010 - I was preparing to spend the Christmas break skiing and seeing family however this was not what happened. I was admitted to hospital with meningitis on boxing day. I was on a life support machine for 3 days and spent over 10 days in hospital recovering. I then spent 3 months learning to do everything again - like walking and eating. Without the help and support of the doctors, nurses, family and friends I do not know how I would have recovered.

I am one of the lucky ones who fortunately survived and lives to tell the tale! I want to raise money for Meningitis Research Foundation (https://www.meningitis.org) to help to promote the illness and find a prevention.
