Many people have followed Amelia's story, right from the start. Without the incredible people at Great Ormond Street, we would never have had our baby girl for those perfect 7months. 

Amelia first came to GOS at 10days old, fighting for her life. She won every battle she had to face, right until the end.....Our little miracle mushroom! Great Ormond Street Hospital will always hold a special place in our hearts. They accepted us into their family, made us as comfortable as possible with the patient and family accommodation, allowed our two other daughters to stay with us when we needed them and helped them to understand what Amelia had to go through. People seem to forget the families......Not Great Ormond Street!!

Amelia always faced terrible odds, but there isn't another place in the world where we would have felt as comfortable dealing with the battle she had to face. Amelia broke the mould and if it wasn't for the expertise and new research that takes place at this wonderful place, we would have lost her much, much sooner. 

Despite the traumas she went through, she loved this place. 

I only hope and pray that what was learned from Amelia can be used to help someone else's baby one day. I have every confidence that this can happen at this wonderful place.
