Story
From Amelie: Hi my name is Amelie, I am five years old. My hair has never been cut and I’ve been growing it all my life. I would like to cut my long hair before I go back to school at the end of the holidays. As my hair is so long I’ve been thinking that it would be a good idea to donate my hair for children whom have lost their own hair due to sickness or treatment and want to have hair again. Please help me support this wonderful charity by sharing my page or sponsoring me so I may raise enough funds to make a real hair wig for a child.
From Mum: Amelie will be getting her hair cut off at the end of August at our local salon Click Beautique, owned by our good friend Gaby. We will announce the day nearer the time. This will give us enough time to fundraise and for Amelie’s hair to grow that little bit more so we can give as much of her hair as possible- the longer the donation the better. Every year, someone in our family chooses a worthy cause to support, over the years I have moon walked for Cancer Research, completed half marathons, 5k’s, 10k’s for cancer charities and the British Heart foundation. Every year my husband selects a charity to support via his company (gt&i Ltd) to receive pro bono work, Into University, MIND, Book Clubs in Schools and Chamos children’s charity to name but a few. This year, Amelie has chosen to select her own charity and we couldn’t be more proud of her. She’s only five and she already has such maturity and fore thought not to mention kindness and such a big heart. If you’d like to donate to this worthy cause and to see Amelie cut her locks for charity please donate via this Justgiving page. Thank you all for your donations and support.
From the charity: When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever.
