Everest Challenge · 4 August 2018

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

I will be raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young by attempting the Everest Challenge on Saturday 4th August 2018.

This involves riding up and down the same steep hill until I have cycled the height of Everest (over 29,000 feet)!

I will be attempting the challenge on the incline on the High Peak Trail from High Peak Junction. To complete the challenge I will need to ride up and down the incline 63 times

If I complete this challenge I will be the youngest female to ever have done it.

I am raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of Charlie Craig, a friend and very talented cyclist who died in his sleep on 21st January 2017 from an undiagnosed cardiac problem.
