AMES 3 Peaks challenge · 1 May 2010
Hello I am Alan Read the director of Ames Environmental Services. I am asking you for your help in raising money for a charity close to our company. 9 members of the team are going to complete the 3 peak challenge in May 2010 Why the 3 Peak Challenge? have been working with Acorns for the past 8 Years, and have had very close contacts with there work and there care of all the children come through Acorns. I have been to their site and have seen there Family Unit where families come during there treatment or restbite. This unit is dated and looking tired, after discussing the requirements with Julya from Acorns we would love to be able to update and make the family’s time in Acorns as best as possible. Ames have taken on the target to raise funds to improve the quality of the Family Unit. Acorns Childrens Hospice
Acorns Children’s Hospice currently cares for over 600 life limited children from across the west Midlands and . Acorns offer a network of care services through its three hospices in , Walsall and . The Acorns Community Team provides support to the whole family at home 24-hours –a-day, seven days a week. It costs Acorns £4,500 per day, per hospice, to provide these services free of charge to families, and it receives very little of its funding from the government, relying almost entirely on community donations.
