As you may already know, I (Amy) have recently started volunteering on Sunday mornings at the Dogs Trust Basildon centre. I have the absolute best time every Sunday there with the great Canine Carers and other volunteers, but also with the Dogs. The work that the staff at the centre do for the Dogs is truly inspiring - these dogs really would not be here without the wonderful staff. The Dogs Trust are the UK's biggest dog charity taking in dogs from the streets, rescuing dogs from illegal trade at the ports and also being that helping hand when it all gets too much for owners. 

It is for this reason that I have decided to enter the Dog Jog with my best friend Dexter... I am not sure what I have let myself in for but it'll be a laugh if nothing else!

Without donations this charity would not be able to perform such a vital role, so if you are a dog lover like me or are just looking forward to seeing me and Dexter tripping over each other for the entire 5k then please donate a little for us. Every penny counts!
