On 14 February 2023 (Valentines Day) the hospice celebrates its 50th Birthday. When it first opened all those years ago patients diagnosed with life limiting cancer were cared for. Jump forward to today, some 30% of patients have been diagnosed with a myriad of life limiting illnesses including Parkinson's Disease, chronic heart disease and dementia. 

In March 2020 children's hospice "Donna Louise" amalgamated with Dougie Mac which now means our local hospice cares for 3,500 adults and their families and over 200 young adults and children. This comes at a cost of around £17.5Millions, of which nearly 80% is raised by local people and businesses in North Staffs and South Cheshire.
