Story

Some of you may or may not know - but I have Spina Bifida Occulta - which is a form of Spina Bifida which causes a malformation of one or more vertebrae (bones of the spine). It is sometimes called “closed” spina bifida. In most cases, spina bifida occulta causes no problems. The general term spina bifida describes several conditions that all arise from a defect in an embryo's developing spine.

I am raising money for the more debilitating Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus.

SBH Scotland are the only charity to support everyone affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus across Scotland. They provide intensive one to one support and make sure that each person lives the highest quality of life possible.

I appreciate that we all have our own personal charities that we raise money for constantly and it perhaps feels like you are always making donations to this and that, but without the publics generous donations, charities like these would not exist.  We rely on the support and generosity of all of you.

Please give what you can - whether it be 50p, £1 £10 or £100.  Every single donation matters.

My target is high - but that's because if I have to jump from a height of +10000 feet I might as well set a target equally as high to raise.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has taken the time to read my story and donate - I truly appreciate your support - and the donations are gonna be what stops me chickening out!!
